The question that is raised by most is about this beautiful Asus router setup. Since we are time and again asked about it, we decided to share the steps about the setup of this router.
Just follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: First things first, connect a PC to your router using an Ethernet cable and plugging it into the WAN port of the router. This is recommended as generally during the setup process the device sometimes loses wireless connectivity and thus will make you reconnect in between.
Step 2: Once connected, go to the web browser and enter the IP address http://192.168.1.1 which takes you to the Asus router setup page.
Step 3: At the password prompt, type in Username and Password as admin.
Step 4: Post this; the Asus setup process is fairly easy. Just press Go to the welcome screen and it will redirect you to set up the router name and password. This will effectively change the default password and let you choose your own. Losing this password would mean that you have to reset the router once again. Hence make sure you keep it safe.
Step 5: Next you will be asked to setup the SSID and the password for the available multiple bands of the router like the 2.4GHz and 5GHz. After choosing the security type and the password, click Apply to finish the process.
This would successfully configure your router and you can start with browsing the internet again. As mentioned before, the Asus setup process is fairly easy; yet, all the above-mentioned steps will help you if you face any difficulty while setting the device up.
